Originally by: Janus Konor Cyno Graphics
A new cyno graphic is in the pipeline along with most of the other effects in game. ItÆs very high up the priority list and will be one of the first effects we change once the new effects artist is up to speed. ThatÆs right, we have a new effects artist who is going to do amazing things.
Originally by: Brokers Clone Engine Contrails
These were being worked on this release but most likely wonÆt make it in for the Summer expansion because there is more work to be done. If I had to guess IÆd say they will go live during a month ending in ôberö.
Originally by: Silicon Sailor WiS running around
There will be ôaction objectsö in Incarna that can spawn UI windows but all your usual windows like Market, Fitting, Undock etc. will still be available from the Neocom of Station Services buttons.
Originally by: Robot Robot ship painting
Yes we were spying on you when you were playing Wing Commander and we have the VHS tapes to prove it. As far as ship skins weÆre working on it. Each ship needs to be upgraded to the new shader version as mentioned in this blog: http://www.eveonline.com/devblog.asp?a=blog&bid=732

Originally by: Oussamoussa Industrial Ships
The short answer is no, Industrials will remain haulers. Industrial tasks improvements will take place on planets and starbases. Quantum Rise was considered the industry expansion but we've moved away from expansions with play-style themes. Expansions will still have themes but the gameplay will touch on a broader range of play-styles.
Originally by: Knug LiDi Renaming Anchored Structures
Technical Director tells me it should be technically possible. I will look into getting this on a team's backlog. This is definitely not the first time we've heard this suggestion.
Originally by: Knug LiDi Rokh Dronebay
50m3 is the intended capacityfor the Rokh Dronebay.
Originally by: Knug LiDi Skill Queue on EVE Gate
Yes, we intend to put skill queue functionality and many other in-game features onto EVE Gate.
Originally by: Many People Starbase Related Questions
At a recent Creative Board meeting we put the much requested Starbase improvements into 2012. This needs to actually be scheduled in by product management but it's high on our list of to-dos.
Originally by: Many People MOAR tech 3 ships when?!?
The short answer is yes more tech 3 ships are coming. That idea for tech 3 industrials is pretty cool and needs further investigation. The first ships we will most likely do is something smaller than cruisers just so we can cater to the largest audience. Then follow that up with some big mama jama and maybe subsystem targeting. The bad news is these ships likely won't be here until 2014 at the soonest given all the other cool stuff we have planned. The schedule does depend on feedback though so if there is enough demand we could swap things around.
Originally by: Virtue Maulerant Nebulae and Effects
Work on the nebulae is progressing nicely and will be worth the wait, expect them before the end of the year. The new turret models that were shown at Fanfest will be finished and live around September/October if all goes well. Then the updated muzzle effects will be ready by the end of the year *fingers crossed*.
Originally by: Luke Hartelse Fix the game first
I was about to go on a long rant about the substantial amount of time spent on fixing legacy stuff but decided to just say "message received".

Originally by: Horace Nancyball More effective NPC jamming
It seems like youÆre asking to be jammed by NPCs even more which doesnÆt sound fun to me so the answer is no. Sorry if I misunderstood.
Originally by: Vaughan Edgar Direct Fighter Control
If we do this itÆs a long way off. A long way as in after Incarna and Dust 514 have had some updates and time to mellow.
Originally by: nouki Even moon goo distribution
We donÆt want to create an even distribution of resources but rather an interesting distribution that has you constantly coveting your neighborÆs space.
Originally by: Hans Geiger High Sec Aggression
Attacking someone in high sec should lead to a global criminal flag. If someone has a legal reason to attack such as a kill right or war then they will not be flagged. The aggression mechanics are already pretty complicated and if we would start to include wars and kill rights into fleets then no one would have any idea who they could attack. ItÆs best to keep them separate.
Originally by: Nicholas Barker More Interesting 0.0
Like you say yourself the NAPfest is a player problem. WeÆre working on shaking things up and making areas of space that more people covet. In a giant sandbox like EVE we canÆt really force everyone to fight if they just want to hold hands.
Originally by: Christopher Dayringer Delete Supercapitals

Originally by: David Daniels Destroyers as relevant class
Destroyers are a tough one. I donÆt think the problem is so much that they donÆt work as paper tigers because they put out plenty of damage for their size. I think their problem is more that IÆm better off as a new player moving to something with more HP after I grow out of frigates and by the time my skills make destroyers viable there are many other ships to choose from.
Originally by: Kimitake Hiraoka Clicky research/invention/copying
Honest answer is no short terms plans but we agree with you. There are a lot of UI windows that are old and in need of improvement. IÆm not going to lie and say we think everything is perfect. WeÆve been doing ô1000 little thingsö but it turns out you can only do about 20 little things in a release. We will get to it eventually though.

- We havenÆt really got a ôstandardö progression and thatÆs how it should be with a sandbox. Missions and Mining are both pretty good starting places for a new player but PvP out in 0.0 with friends is even better.
- This information is hidden because it wouldnÆt be readily be available in ôrealityö or in PvP so we donÆt show it. You can go digging for it if you want to become better but we donÆt want to spoon feed these sorts of things to you.
- WeÆre doing incremental changes to missions all the time. IÆm not sure what you heard at Fanfest but it was most likely the most up-to-date info. Once Incarana is out the door we will have a lot more room to play with on the PvE front
- With 600 people at CCP IÆm sure we have one of each. I personally like small gang PvP and grinding for ISK.
- In 1 year from now EVE will have the fundamental bits of the Incarna experience weÆve been dreaming of for so many years. In 3 years we will have polished all of the oldest game mechanics and will have done a few Dust expansions as well. In 5 years I will be really old but EVE will still be going and on its way to being the ultimate sci-fi simulator.

WeÆre absolutely still committed to doing fleet formations. ItÆs one of my personal favorite feature requests. There are both tactical and aesthetic reasons I like it.

James Dunford Chat Time Stamps? >> This functionality is not in our current plans.
Raquel Smith Multiple Questions? >> Our current plans for the API are to continue working on clearing out technical debt and then moving on to fulfilling feature request. Here is the current unprioritized backlog: API: Contracts API: As a user I can view broadcasts API: As a user I can view bulletins that are posted on the alliance's bulletin board API: As a user I can view bulletins that are posted on the corps bulletin board World Data * Include Incursion information * Sovereignity additions * Concord war list * List of all corporations * Full EVE Map data * Insurance data * Historical Map Data Planetary Interaction Blueprints Loyalty points in the API
>> Super caps are so powerful because with a name that contains ôsuperö and ôcapitalö what else would you expect? >> An update to the market UI is just starting development now so I will add this request to the list of other features. >> If your skills last way more than a day then you donÆt really need the queue. ItÆs recommended you still log in the play from time to time. >> Remote PI tear down isnÆt on our current plans. Although you can expect various changes and additions to PI as we introduce DUST 514 >> If you leave your Quafe in the sun too long it gets funky so I suggest keeping it in a cool dark place.
Hedgero System Specs? >> We arenÆt doing any more changes to the min-spec in the foreseeable future. As long as your graphics card supports SM3 you should be good to go.
Multiple UI Overhaul? >> There is preliminary work being done on a UI overhaul. CCP Sharq is leading the charge, I can see his Photoshop from here.
Multiple New Neocom? >> A new Neocom is still planned. The version we werenÆt happy with was sidelined while we worked on the new Carbon UI framework but will be resumed once that work has finished.
GIGAR Thre priorities after Incarna? >> The three priorities for CCP after launching Incarna will be launching DUST 514, launching World of Darkness and continuing to improve on EVE.
Kyle Skitka Travel between gates? >> There arenÆt any near term plans to change the gameplay of travelling between gates.
RaTTuS Can I have more alt characters? >> Yes I would consider allowing more alts. What do you think would be a fair price for them?
Articus Marqes Missile Graphics? >> We have a new effects artist and the look of missiles is definitely something he will be working on. We all agree with you that the look of a missile volley could use some lovinÆ.
Vincent Athena Incarna dates? >> Captains quarters is coming in the next expansion and the stuff on the test server should be improving by the week until it launches. Walking elsewhere in stations will follow that but wonÆt go live for some months.

Qintanao Tablet and DUST 514 info? >> EVE Gate is our primary tablet strategy but like we showed at FF we do have other things underway. WeÆve got some exciting announcements revolving around DUST 514 but we need to make those announcements at the proper time.
#askeve @chocolips More face tattoos? >> There will definitely be many more customization options, including tattoos, in the years to come.
Moritz Jaeger Tablet Client? >> I thought I answered this earlier but work on the ôUnified Service Layerö is underway which will facilitate this sort of interaction via the web and mobile devices.
Mr LaForge Multiple Questions? >> The value of space became homogenized and the reasons to claim and fight for space diminished so we felt it was important to fix that as soon as we could. There is now a landscape with more anomalies than before and areas for both powerful alliances and smaller incubating groups to claim. >> No new T3 ships are planned for this year. >> ItÆs possible CCP will have a balance team at some point in the future but for now the closest thing is Team BFF which is a standard feature team. >> Yes new hardware is coming. We teased it at Fanfest and there is a blog
Ptakk Question about UI stuff? >> The UI for the LP store isnÆt our proudest usability moment. Combine that with implant names that are far more artistic than informative and you have a recipe for disaster. The good news is I have an underground movement brewing that will fix the Market, Contracts and LP store.
Sainrin Important Question? >> We had a long discussion about this one and decided if the woodchuck enjoyed chucking wood the woodchuck would chuck as much wood as the woodchuck could chuck if the woodchuck could chuck wood. If the woodchuck didnÆt like chucking would the woodchuck wouldnÆt chuck as much wood as a woodchuck could chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood. So the answer is somewhere between zero and the maximum wood a woodchuck could chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood. Hope that helps.
Jennifer Starling Incaran Questions? >> 1. Yes we will get more hairstyles >> 2. For technical reasons we had to scope this out but we might get it back in later. >> 3. Eventually players will be able to manufacture clothes and things for Incarna but players wonÆt be creating the art if thatÆs what you mean. >> 4. Yes the ability to change bloodlines is planned in the future. >> 5. Moods >> 6. Coming next release. On test server now. >> 7. Most likely because grinding up standings would be far too easy if you could just farm NPCs. >> 8. CCP Tallest was looking at looking at it but there are no definite short term plans for changes. >> 9. With the quality and division changes there will be a whole lot more good agents to choose from. >> 10. Symmetry isnÆt necessary in space and this is done more for aesthetics anyway. >> 11. Maybe you arenÆt paying them enough to do a good job? Navigators are finicky like cats. >> 12. Because of engineering.

moose crap Old Warp Sound? >> There are no plans to go back to the old warp sound.
Laviski Delay all new content for 6 months? >> While we would never delay all new content production we do have it as an initiative to spend a large portion of our time and resources on improving old systems. All programmers spend 20% of their time on legacy stuff for instance. When considering what new features to work on we look at ways to incorporate fixes to old systems. WeÆve also got Team BFF working entirely on quality of life fixes. Team Commie Pinkos (the content dudes in Atlanta) are working on a missions renovation project. All our effects are being redone. Ships are slowly being evolved into version 3. ART BLOG Our CORE infrastructure team is constantly improving things on the back end. Same goes for CORE graphics.
So the answer is really that we get what youÆre asking for but we donÆt feel doing it that way makes business sense and we hope our continuous improvements are satisfactory.
David BarrT and multiple others Continuing upgrading ships to v3? >> Yes this is an ongoing project.
Zilne Carvet Text Wrapping? >> Because itÆs hard.
Zilne Carvet Can I submit sound files? >> Thanks but no. We donÆt accept content submissions unless itÆs in some officially sanctioned event like the Deviant Art contest.
Korb Biakustra Font Resizing? >> The really good news is weÆve got a professional font artist who has been working on a cleaner, more legible version of the EVE font. A font that you can tell the difference between the 6 and G, B and 8 etcà That should be live soon, before the end of the year at least. As far as resizing the font, I spoke with the people working in this area and while they all expressed desires to go this route we havenÆt got any concrete short term plans. Resolution independence is a long term plan of ours. WeÆve witnessed desktop screen resolutions increasing while new mobile hardware is introduced with smaller screens that can handle much of EVE.
Storm Arista Naming Blueprints? >> We havenÆt got any plans to allow naming or flagging of blueprints. I can see how that would come in handy but if you really donÆt want corp mates borrowing your BPs you could keep them in your personal hangar.
Hathrul The other DED sites? >> They should be done and in after Summer vacations hopefully in the R3 release but if not definitely R4. A lot of the imbalances in the end bosses will be balanced at that time as well. After that point CCP Bettik says he will be getting very drunk because this has been a huge task for him. He was working on a 5/10 when I asked him about it.

This next one will be my last one for the day. I'm heading off to an awards ceremony where CCP is nominated for best company in Iceland. Wish us luck!
Also I want to note that while the answers might seem very short and I apologize for that this project is pretty time consuming given how many people we have to chase up to make sure we're giving an accurate answer. Please bear with us as we endeavor to answer every question. There are close to 1000 questions and I'm up to 161 personally. Have a great weekend and Fly safe!
Last one for the day: Ehranavaar Missile Trajectories? >> YouÆre comparing real military hardware with a computer game that has to simulate thousands of objects interacting. Of course if we were actually twenty thousand years in the future and each missile had its own CPU and sensors then it would predict where the ship was going and plot an intercept course. In reality the physics simulation we call Destiny updates once every second and each ôballö in the ôparkö moves at a given velocity on a given vector. In the case of missiles they simply move straight towards their target. This is why you see missiles zigzag when they pass their target. I had a chat with the math programmer dudes and got a bit in over my head. They started talking about ways we could achieve this and I snuck off before things got out of hand. Long story short this might be possible in the future but itÆs going to take bribes of beer and whatever else CCP Masterplan enjoys.
